DOBSON, STANLEY W. June 2, 1920 to Jan. 23, 2012 Hard to believe it's been one year since you made us laugh and we heard you sing to your "Pretty Woman. "Today in our hearts, we are celebrating along with you, on your 55th anniversary. Together always, you were called to walk with God and be reunited with your bride Virginia, just two days before your 54 years together, and we know you would never be late for a date. We lost Mom just a short nine months earlier. Stan was a native San Diegan and lived all of his 91 years here, settling in La Mesa. He graduated from San Diego High, was a paratrooper in the Army WWII, and spent his career as an iron worker-welder. Over the years, Stan played a mean game of badminton, loved country music concerts with Lynn, enjoyed winning at nickel slots, and his favorite pastime was horseshoe pitching. He was a champ for many years and a charter member of the Balboa Park Horseshoe Club. To live as Stan did, a true and honorable man, gives us all a sense of caring for one another. Stan is survived by his daughter Lynn, brother John (Jan) Dobson of Los Altos, many nieces, nephews. Mom and Dad, you taught me the meaning of life and gave me a lifetime of love. I love you forever and I miss you more than words could ever express. Stan and Virginia were laid to rest at Ft. Rosecrans Nat'l Cemetery.
