Anna Faye Laymon
(April 16, 1921 - January 24, 2013)

Anna Faye Laymon, 91, longtime Neosho Falls resident, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2013, at the Allen County Hospital.

Anna Faye was born April 16, 1921, at Garnett, Kansas, the daughter of Fred and Alta (Drybread) Allen. The family moved to Neosho Falls in 1931.

In 1938, Anna Faye married Wayne W. Laymon and they always made their home in Neosho Falls where she operated her own restaurant for a number of years. Mr. Laymon preceded her in death December 21, 1980. She moved to Yates Center about 20 years ago.

Anna Faye loved to cook, work in her yard, attend yard sales and dancing. She was a member of the Neosho Falls United Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary and V.F.W. Auxiliary.

1 Son: Kenneth Wayne Laymon of Neosho Falls, KS

1 Sister: Josie Weiland of Neosho Falls, KS

2 Grandsons: Michael Laymon of Yates Center, KS and Kim Laymon of Iola, KS

7 Great-Grandchildren and 10 Great-Great-Grandchildren

Several nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence Allen and Lewis Allen.

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 2:00 p.m., Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at Cedarvale Cemetery, Neosho Falls, Kansas
