She was born April 7, 1940 in Cynthiana, Kentucky, to the late Stanley Ammerman Houston and Lillian Montgomery Houston.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Stanley Miller Houston and Martha Frances Ammerman Houston of Cynthiana, and maternal grandparents, Roy White Montgomery and Alma Grady Peyton Montgomery of Richmond.
She is survived by her husband, Doug Marshall; two daughters, Kim Chrisman(Ed) Wilson and Whitney Chrisman Cox; a son, Steve Chrisman; and a stepson, Brian (Donna) Marshall. Other survivors include a brother, Stanley "Butch" (Norma) Houston Jr. of Lexington; a niece, Karen Russell Boggs of Louisville; a nephew, Steven Wheeler Houston of Lexington. She has two grandsons, Brian Allen Lowery and Braden Nelson Cox; three granddaughters, Sara Beth Lowery, Alexis "Lexee" Lillian Chrisman, and Halle Marie Marshall; two sister-in-laws, Barbara (Don) Baker and Lynn (Teddy) Wagers. Sara leaves special friends, Betty Brown, Hazel Moberly, and Ruby Wilcox.
Funeral services for Sara Frances Marshall will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home with Dr. Jerry Huffman and Rev. Gary Maynard officiating.
Visitation will be from 5:00- 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Oldham, Roberts & Powell.
