Ely Times- Lucille W. Jones. Posted: Friday, November 18, 2005 Lucille W. Jones of McGill died Monday, Nov. 14, 2005, in Ely. She was 88. Mrs. Jones was born Aug. 12, 1917, in Beaver, Utah, to George and Mettie Wilson. She married Thomas E. Jones on Oct. 10, 1938. She has been a resident of the area since 1942. Mrs. Jones was a homemaker and a member of the McGill Ward LDS Church, Relief Society and a visiting teacher. She enjoyed rides and picnics in the mountains, digging for bottles, church activities and visiting and teaching friends.

She is survived by two daughters: Lillian Campbell of Ely and Sharon (Lloyd) Williams of McGill; one son LaMar (Martha) Jones of Ely; a sister Hazel (Duane) Roberts of St. George, Utah; a brother Warren (Coral) Wilson of Reno; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas; two daughters: Eva Earline and Sandra Jean Jones; son Carl Eugene Jones; granddaughter Angela Jones; three brothers: George, Earl and Arden and four sisters: Sophia, Irita, Anona and Reta. Visitation took place on Thursday, Nov. 17, at Mountain Vista Chapel. Services followed with burial at Ely City Cemetery. Bishop Don Gregerson presided. Pallbearers were Quentin Jones, Teddy Jackson, LaMar Jones, Roger Dutton, Gary Peterson and Lance Jones. Honorary pallbearers were Lloyd Williams, Doug Hughes and Justin Williams.
