The family asks that visitation be observed Friday, January 25, 2013, at Hixson Brothers, Pineville, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
Mr. Edwards, 73, of Lake Charles, passed from this life on January 21, 2013, at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital.
He was a member of Local #247 Plumbers and Steamfitters Union in Alexandria for 20 years and then moved to Local #106 in Lake Charles until his retirement. An avid fisherman, he was a member of the Alexandria Bass Master Club and was one of the top 5 fishermen in the club. He attended Full Gospel and was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great grandfather that will be dearly missed.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Regina Diane Taylor Edwards, and their daughter, Tonia Edwards of Lake Charles; Glenda Havis, former wife and the mother of his son, Michael Lynn Edwards of Pineville; brothers, Milton Carlaine Edwards of Anacoco, Robert "Bobby" Gerald Edwards of Baton Rouge; sister, Charlotte Rogers of Sulphur; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Lee and Agnes White Edwards; his stepmother that raised him, Anna Edwards; his and Glenda's daughters, Roxanne Edwards, and Sherrie Gale Edwards.
Pallbearers honored to serve will be Kevin White, Jamie Dale Edwards, David Gunter, Keith Reno Pennington, Rick Henry, and Tim Edwards. Honorary pallbearers will be his great grandson, Shea Dubroc; and grandson, Michael Lynn Edwards, III.
