Dan is survived by: a daughter, Connie (Robert) Craig, of Springfield; two sisters, Patricia Wade, of Dayton, and Mary Ellen Muench, of Vandalia; a dear friend, Gail Carter, of Piqua; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and friends. He was preceded in death by: his parents; an infant son, Daniel Lynn McClellan, II; and four brothers, John McClellan, Thomas McClellan, Donald McClellan and Fritz McClellan.
As a final act of caring, his wish to be an organ donor was honored. He served our country in the United States Army, stationed in Germany during peacetime, and will receive a military burial at Dayton National Cemetery, 4100 West Third Street, Dayton, Ohio. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 24.
