Jack L. Ginter, of York, passed away January 22, 2013. He was the husband of the late Virginia R. (Keech) Ginter.

Born February 17, 1929, in York, he was a son of the late Perry and Frances (Brillhart) Ginter.

Mr. Ginter was employed as a traffic manager with York Corrugating from 1945 until his retirement in 1991.

A United States Army Veteran of the Korean War, he was also a member of the Shiloh American Legion, West York V.F.W., and Viking Athletic Association.

Jack was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Mr. Ginter is survived by one daughter, Terry L. Zimmerman and husband, Keith of York; two granddaughters, Sarah L. Zimmerman of York, and Katie J. Hoffman and husband, Jason of York; one brother, Terry Ginter and wife, Carol of Lebanon; companion and dinner partner, Tobi Bingaman of York; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother, David S. Ginter, and one sister, Patricia Arnold.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11 a.m., January 29, 2013, at Heffner Funeral Chapel, York, with the Rev. Richard B. Starr officiating. A visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be private in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Full military honors will be provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard at the funeral home.
