Grace Eslick Buntley, 98, a resident of Paint Hollow in the Mimosa community, and a homemaker, died Thursday (October 3, 1996) at Lincoln Care Center. She was a native of Lincoln County, the daughter of the late Jack and Maggie Baxter Eslick, and the wife of the late Jake Van Buren Buntley, who died in 1971. Mrs. Buntley was a member of the Mimosa Church of Christ. Survivors include a daughter, Helen Arnold of the Mimosa community; a son, Lawrence Eslick Buntley of Nashville; a sister, Daisy Durham of Nashville; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at Higgins Funeral Home with Bros. Houston Bynum and Roy Warren officiating. Interment was in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Higgins Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
