Wilma (Jenkins) Cunningham, age 75, of Nashville, passed away January 22, 2013. Wilma was born June 3, 1937 in Lyles TN to John Wilburn and Viola Warren Jenkins, as the thirteenth of sixteen children.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers Jesse, John Wilburn Jr, Lum, Jimmy & Justus; sisters Girlene Jenkins, Peggy Parker, Lorraine Castleman & Mary Griffin.

Wilma is survived by her devoted and loving husband of fifty-six years, Harold E "Gene" Cunningham Sr; their five children Harold E "Hal" Cunningham Jr (Summer), Monte Cunningham (Judy), Donna Altshuler (John), Arnie Cunningham & Troy Cunningham (Nancy); 8 grandchildren Caitlin, Kellee & Harold E "Trey" Cunningham III, Chloe Kaspar (Kevin) & Phoebe Cunningham, Grant Altshuler, Sofia & Ava Cunningham; siblings Lucille Wright, Doug Jenkins (Joan), Margaret Lanius, Martha Martinez (John), Carolyn Booth (David) & Nancy Huddleston (Richard); brothers-in law Tom Parker & Walter Griffin; & sister-in-law, Montez Jenkins.

Wilma was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, a life-long community volunteer, past president of Bellevue Woman's Club and 5th District Woman's Club, member of NWSGA (9-hole golf group), past president of Harpeth Valley Elementary School PTA (1976), member of Friends of Bellevue Library, member and past president of The Bellevue Club (formerly Home Demonstration Club), long-serving election worker for Davidson County, and a founding member of Bellevue Church of Christ, where she helped with many church activities, including Vacation Bible School.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 26th at Bellevue Church of Christ, 7401 Highway 70 South, with Steve Blackman, Marlin Connelly and Tom Riley officiating. Visitation will be held at Bellevue Church of Christ on Friday, January 25th from 3-7 p.m., and Saturday, January 26th from 10-11 a.m. Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews.

Interment will be at Jenkins Family Cemetery, Hickman County TN.
