"A marker for Elijah Flagg, born Apri 3 1761 at Petersham, Worchester Co., MA will be placed at Massena Center Cemetery where he is buried. Flagg enlisted Aug. 1, 1776 and was discharged about March 1781. He served in Capt. Walker's Co.; a Minuteman in Capt Spooner's Co.; and a sergeant in Capt. Nye's Co.. He Married Elizebeth Cummings and they had three children, David, Electa, Clarissa. They lived in Orwell, VT and came to Massena in 1800. (Simeon courtesy of Town Historian).
Elijah and Elizabeth also were the parents of Barzel Flagg.
