Funeral services for Charles William Darby, 83, of Blackville, SC will be held eleven a.m., Saturday, January 26, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Denmark with Rev. Andy Hunter and Dr. Thomas Terry officiating. Burial will be in the Blackville Cemetery with military honors accorded. Mr. Darby passed away Thursday, January 24, 2013.
Born in Anderson, SC he was a son of the late John Robert Darby and Lila Mae Tinsley Darby and was married to the late Neva Jean LeJeune Darby. He was a US Air Force Veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. He was an active member of First Baptist Church of Denmark where he served in many different capacities and was a member of the Bennett Clary Sunday School Class. He retired from Fluor Daniels Construction and was a member of the American Legion #91.
