Harmon ABSHIRE, 81, retired farmer of Twelve Mile, died at 10:45 p.m. Thursday in the Dukes Hospital, Peru, where he had been a patient for the past three weeks. He had been a
resident of Cass county his entire life.

The son of Mark and Lorenda (PETERMAN) ABSHIRE, he was born Jan. 19, 1874, in Bethlehem township, Cass county. On Dec. 20, 1904, he was married to Emma CRAWFORD.

Survivors are his wife, at home; two sons, Mark [ABSHIRE], LaCrosse, and John [ABSHIRE], Logansport; one daughter, Mrs. Orell SHAND, Kalamazoo, Mich.; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Goldie MORROW, R.R. 5, Logansport.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. CST Sunday at the Bethlehem Methodist church. The Rev. Everett NIXON assisted by the Rev. Charles BIRCHMIER will officiate and burial will be in the Green Lawn cemetery at Mexico.

The body will be removed from the Ditmire funeral home to the Abshire residence Saturday morning. Friends may call at the residence.
