The Mass of Christian burial for Innozent Zentner, age 92 of Mott, will be 10:30am Monday, January 28, 2013 at St. Vincent's Catholic Church in Mott. Fr.Dennis Schafer will officiate with burial in Sunnyslope Cemetery at Mott.

Special music will be provided by Pat Schwartz, organist, and Molly Peltier, soloist.

Serving as casketbearers are Cory Zentner, Kasey Berger, Weylin Zimmerman, Troy Dschaak, Jamie Scott, Glenn Roll, Lawrence Zentner. All of Innozent's grand and great grandchildren and great great grandson are considered honorary bearers.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1:00 to the time of the Rosary Service at 7:00pm, all at St. Vincent's Catholic Church in Mott.

Innozent Zentner was born on February 27, 1920 north of Burt, ND to Alex and Barbara (Meier) Zentner. When Innozent was around eight years old his parents passed away within three months of each other. He went to live with a very special family, Mike and Ameilia Hellman in Burt ND. Innozent had fond memories of his foster family. He once told Eva that after 25 years of marriage, she finally could make soup like Mrs. Hellman.

He attended rural school north of Burt and served in the CCC's (Civilian Conservation Corps) working in Medora, ND. Shortly thereafter, he met and married Eva Roll on November 11, 1942.

Innozent and Eva Lived in Glendive MT for a short time while he worked in a coal mine. They then moved to the Zentner farmstead north of Burt where they farmed and ranched together for 65 years. They raised a family of 2 sons, Gary and Darby and 4 daughters, Sally, Ardella, Susan, and Marica.

In 2009, they moved into Mott where they continued to spend their retirement years together. Innozent passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at the Mott Good Samaritan Society.

Innozent enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping, and pitching horse shoes. Following his retirement in 1983, he enjoyed playing golf with his other retired buddies. Innozent was also a member of the Mott Fire District representing Solen Township.

Surviving family members include his wife, Eva, Mott, ND; 1 son and daughter-in-law, Darby and Denise Zentner, Warroad, MN; 4 daughters and sons-in-law, Rosella and Wilmer Zimmerman, New Leipzig, ND; Ardella and Ruben Dschaak, Bucyrus, ND; Susan and Eldon Scott, Bismarck, ND; Marcia and Jay Linnemann, Bay Point, CA, 16 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Sharon Zentner, 1 grandson, Chad Messmer; 1 great grandson, Ty Glass; 4 brothers and sisters-in-law, Jake and Grace Zentner, Martin and Tilly Zentner, Tony and Maggie Zentner, John and Martha Zentner; 2 sisters, Annie (Zentner) Nicklaus and Eva McNeil.
