RIGGINS, REV. JOHN PROCTOR, 84, of Louisville passed away Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013.
He was a native of Harrodsburg, KY and a graduate of Harrodsburg High School, Centre College and the Lexington Theological Seminary. Rev. Riggins served 60 years in the Christian Church DofC ministry throughout Kentucky and Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Buzz Riggins.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Betty Lewis Riggins; children, Mark and Kevin (Paula) Riggins and Marcia Ferrell (Brian); grandchildren, Justin and Michael (Danielle) Wheat and Jesse and Lucy Riggins; great grandchildren, Brody and David Wheat.
Memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Pearson's, 149 Breckenridge Lane with private burial. Visitation will be 1 p.m. until time of service on Saturday.
