Graveside services for Virgil Ray Alvey age 76 of Tyler are scheduled for 10:30 AM Thursday, January 24, 2013 in the Harris Chapel Cemetery with Rev. David Martin officiating. Services are under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home of Lindale.
Mr. Alvey was born October 23, 1936 in Lindale the son of the late Roy and Lucile (Swift) Alvey. He passed away Monday, January 21, 2013 in a Tyler hospital. Mr. Alvey lived in Tyler most of his life and attended Pine Brook Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp and retired from Trane in January 2001 after 40 years of service.
Mr. Alvey is survived by his wife, Patricia Alvey of Tyler; Sons, Jimmy Ray Alvey of Splendora, David Alvey of Tyler; grandchildren, Dustin Curt Alvey, Lauren Ashley Alvey, Lindsey Brooke Alvey and Riley Alvey.
