Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 25, 2013 at Burkburnett Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Gwen Morman, officiating.
Renee was born June 21, 1942 in Jacksonville, Texas to Georgene Jennings and Elmer R. Butler. On May 17, 1968, she married Jay Davis in Wichita Falls. She attended public schools in Jacksonville, and graduated from Lon Morris College. Renee worked as a Lab Technician before starting her own business landscaping many professional businesses and residences in Wichita Falls. Her passion for flowers and the beautiful flower beds she made were seen by many people throughout the city and won several awards for the beauty she brought to her city and friends. Renee was a long-time member of Beta Sigma Phi, making many friends and serving in several positions in the sorority.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her son, Bradley W. Davis in 2011.
She leaves behind her husband, Jay Davis; her son Eric both of Wichita Falls; her brother, Boyd Butler and wife Deborah of Harviell, Missouri; nieces, Holly and Amy also of Missouri; nephew, Stephen Davis of Austin; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bobby and Larieta Davis of Lakeside City.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909 Johnson Rd., Wichita Falls, TX 76310.
The family would like to thank the caregivers, staff, and doctors at Hospice for the lvoing care provided to Renee and her family.
