Carol Jean Adair, 74 of Buckner, MO passed away, Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital in Blue Springs. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 26, 2013 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel 1501 W. Lexington Avenue, Independence, MO 64052. Burial will follow in Mt. Washington Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Friday evening at the chapel. Carol was born September 20, 1938 in Kansas City, MO to Harold and Opal Marie (Coombs) Thompson graduating from Northeast High School in 1956. She had worked as a hair stylist for a number of years before she retired. She enjoyed reading, gardening, genealogy work and most of all spending time with family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Jerry L. Adair in 2005. Survivors include; 4 sons, David Adair and wife Janie of Tampa, FL, Barry Adair and wife Teresa of Harrisonville, MO, Richard Adair of Douglasville, GA and Michael Adair and wife Mary of Cincinnati, OH; a sister, Kathleen Peters; 5 brothers, John Norris, Martin Norris, Robert Norris, Harold Thompson and Charles Thompson; 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
