Services for Mrs. Kate Proctor Chambless, 96, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Proctor Chambless Jr. will officiate. Mrs. Chambless was a native of Laurens County where she lived most of her life. She was the daughter of the late John Owen Proctor and the late Annie Burch Proctor. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Ralph Chambless and a son, Dr. Fred P. Chambless. She was a homemaker. She died Tuesday.
