DENISON - Kendall A. "Kenny" Blanton, 44 year-old Denison resident, passed away Sunday, Jan. 22, 2006, at his home.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 28 at the River of Life Church , 201 S. Lum in Denison with the Rev. Carol Manery officiating.
Kenny was born on Jan. 18, 1962, in Durant, Okla., son of Robert E. Blanton and Martha Blanton and attended Denison public schools. He married Linda Sue Moore on March 11, 1994, in Sherman.
He worked in the oil fields as a derrick hand for Parker Drilling. Kenny loved to fish and hunt. He was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are his wife, Linda S. Blanton; son, Allen R. Blanton; daughter, Lindsey M. Blanton; mother, Martha Wright, all of the home; brother Eric D. Wright and his wife, Anita of Whitesboro; sister, Retha Lewis of Colbert, Okla; nephew, Cory E. Ivey of the home; nephew, Chad Richardson of Ravenna; and niece, Wynter Richardson of Whitesboro.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert E. Blanton; and brother, Eddie J. Blanton.
The family will be at their home from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday to receive family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Martha Wright, 503 E. Hanna, Denison, Texas 75021.
