Mrs. Albers was a Secretary for Dr. P.J. Biedenharn, and was a member of St. George Parish and Altar Sodality. Blondie was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, dancing, playing cards, visiting casinos, and traveling.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo A. and Katherine M., nee Toennies, Determan; sisters, Helen K. "Honna" Determan and Alice Kiefer; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Francis "Franco" Kiefer, Dorothy (Matt) Haukap, Alvin "Abbie" Albers, Cecelia (George) Duing, and August "Gussie" (Minnie) Albers.
She married Erwin "Tubby" Albers on Sept. 19, 1945, at St. George Catholic Church in New Baden, Ill., and he passed away Monday, Dec. 1, 2014, at Countryside Manor.
Surviving are two sons, Bradley (Phyllis) Albers of Albers, Ill., and Glennon (Nancy) Albers of New Baden, Ill.; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Lisa) Albers, Tami Albers, Amy (Andrew) Kaelin, and Jill (David) Jensen; step-grandchildren, Stacy (Kyle) Lentz, and Kim Dull; great-grandchildren, Drew, Emmett, and August "Auggie" Kaelin, and Nora and Natalie Jensen; step great-grandchildren, Benjamin Lentz, Charles Lentz, and Anderson Lentz; a sister, Janet "Jennie" Morris of Dover, Del.; two brothers, Norman "Ponch" (Leona "Eb") Determan of New Baden, Ill., and James (Rita) Determan of Swansea, Ill.; and a sister-in-law, Henrietta Albers of Germantown, Ill.
