LAWSON, Mr. Steven Edward- age 28 passed away January 12, 2013 at Hurley Medical Center.  A private service was held Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Serenity Funeral Chapel G-2340 W. Carpenter Rd. Flint, MI. Rev. Gregory Hare officiated. Internment River Rest Cemetery G-4413 Flushing Rd. Flint, MI.

Mr. Steven Lawson was born June 12, 1984 in Flint, MI, the son of Mr. Edward Lawson and Fairie Johnson, stepson of Elmira Lawson and Dennis Johnson. Steven attended Flint Community Schools, Civic Park Elementary and graduating from Flint Northwestern High School. Mr. Lawson was employed at CRW Plastic in Howell, MI. He enjoyed playing video games, spending time with his family and his "Merill Hood" friends, "Imagine Dat". Steven leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Elena Richardson Lawson of Flint, MI.; sons, Macki and Makari of Flint, MI.; daughter, Makiah of Flint, MI.; grandparents, Florria Thomas and Olivia Shelton of Flint, Mi.; godmother, Javetta White of Flint, MI.; sisters, Quadrina C. Gray and Tasha Contreras; brothers, Jeremy Lawson, Gregory Gray and Antonie L. Jefferson of Flint, MI.; nephews, Jayden Fleming and Amir Gray of Flint, MI.; and a host of uncles and aunts, many dear and loving cousins, including special cousins Kendra King, Carlo Thomas, and Kimta Dodds; special friend, Michele Davis, T. Brock, Freddie, Nick, Marcus, Kerry, Tray and Kenny.

Steven Lawson was preceded in death by grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Lawson Sr.; grandfather, Fred Thomas Sr.; uncle, Douglas Lawson; aunt, Winifred Whitner; cousins, Stephon Thomas and Ashante Washington; and father-in-law, Dennis Richardson.
