Lou Childers Taylor, 78, widow of Charles L. Taylor Sr., died Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Taylor was born September 27, 1934, in Pinewood, a daughter of the late John Tracy Childers and the late Clara Elizabeth Scott Childers.
Mrs. Taylor was a member of Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church and a former member of Screven Baptist Church.
She was survived by a daughter and a son-in-law, Donna T. Sessions and John M. "Mike" Sessions Sr. of Georgetown; a son, Charles L. "Chuck" Taylor Jr. of Georgetown; four grandchildren, John M. Sessions Jr. of Georgetown, Carla E. Sessions of Alpharetta, GA; Charles L. Taylor III of Georgetown, and Cameron L. Taylor of Moncks Corner; a sister, Jada C. Nunnery Anderson of Georgetown; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by three sisters, Mary C. Scott, Margaret C. Britt, and Clara H. Hughes; and three brothers, Bowman T. Childers, Edgar W. Childers, and Lide D. Childers.
Funeral services were Friday, January 25, 2013, at Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church. The Rev. Dr. Dora Gafford and the Rev. Kenny Johnson officiated.
Burial, directed by Graham Funeral Home, followed in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
