Glenna Ann Montgomery Wale

CLEARFIELD - Glenna Ann Montgomery Wale passed on Sunday, January 8, 2012.
Glenna was born April 25, 1926 the daughter of Heber Alma and Lila Jones Montgomery in West Point, Utah.
She graduated from Davis High School and worked at Hill Air Force Base, where she later retired.
She married James Hal Day on July 24, 1948. They were later divorced. Together they had one son, James Tad Day.
She married William (Bill) Nibley Wale in 1976. Together they resided in Clearfield until his death.
Glenna enjoyed travel, a good book, going to the movies, dinner, shopping and golf. She loved to watch football and you could see and hear her cheering for or scolding her favorite team from her living room. She was a member of the Red Hats Club. Glenna was a beautiful seamstress, and everything she made was sewn to perfection. Glenna was very particular about her home and her dress, she always took special care of her appearance, and her home was always immaculate. Glenna suffered several setbacks but, she never let them keep her down. She was a breast cancer survivor, her husband Bill and her only son Tad passing left a big hole in her life. Glenna and her sister Joyce enjoyed many hours of shopping and crafting together. Joyce and Dave spent every day helping her over the past few months, and were with her when she passed. We will miss you Glenna.
Glenna is survived by four grandchildren, Jessica Nothelfer of Michigan; Andria Day of Arizona; Koren Laplant and Harley Day of Kaysville; five great-grandchildren, Logan, Alexis, Holley, Danny and Olivia. Also surviving are her sister, Joyce (David) Buckley, Layton.
Preceded in death by her husbands, son, parents, three sisters, Nellie Duncan, Leah Montgomery, LoRhea Cook and a special niece Paulene Blackburn.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the West Point Cemetery, 128 N. 4000 W., West Point.
