BISHOPVILLE — Funeral services for James B. Beasley, age 72, who passed away Jan. 21, 2013, will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Chapel Norton Funeral Home with the Rev. Will Cline officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Creek Baptist Church cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
James was born in Lee County, a son of the late James Nathaniel and Louise Tidwell Beasley. He retired from GTE after 30 years of service; was a veteran of the Vietnam War; and a member of the Woodman of the World.
Surviving are his wife, Farris Farmer Beasley of Bishopville; two daughters, Catherine (Timmy) Brumley of Hartsville and Cissy (Todd) Sylvester of Bishopville; and two grandchildren, Megan and Matthew Brumley of Hartsville.
