He was a Staff Sergeant in the Marines during WWII, Pacific Theater, and a pipefitter for General Motors Allison Division for 43 years, retiring in 1982. He was a member of Center Community Church, U.A.W., and American Legion.
He was preceded in death by wife, Dorothy Wood Hays of 60 years and granddaughter, Stacey Lenz.
Surviving are daughters, Linda Lee and Beverly (Michael) Lenz; sons, Norman (Charlene), Nolan (Robin), Nathan (Sherree), and Neal Hays; brother, Paul (Vivian) Hays; grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
