Mary Ann Meyers, 71, of Lancaster, passed away Friday, January 18, 2013 at her residence.
Born in Barstow, CA, she was the daughter of the late Aloysius and Florence Mary (Bowart) Meyers.
She attended St. Mary's College in South Bend, IN, and taught at Catholic High in Lancaster.
Mary Ann was the Director of Religious Education at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, where she was a member, for a number of years and was in charge of their food bank until her death. She also worked for several years in youth ministry at St. James Catholic Church.
She is survived by two cousins: Shirley O'Toole of Topeka, Kansas and Walt Meyers of Kansas City, MO. She was preceded in death by a sister, Loretta Meyers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM Saturday, January 26, 2013 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 601 E. Delp Rd., Lancaster, PA 17601 with The Rev. Daniel Mitzel as Celebrant and Msgr. Richard Youtz as Co-Celebrant. Friends will be received one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will follow in Landis Valley Mennonite Cemetery.
