Benjamin Augustus Morgan
Macon, GA- Benjamin Augustus Morgan, 86, went to be with his Lord on January 22, 2013 in a local hospital. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 2:00 PM at First Evangelical Church with the Rev. Tim Long and Rev. Richard Jelley officiating. Interment will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 PM till service time at the church. To those who wish memorial contributions may be made to First Evangelical Church, 3601 Fulton Mill Road, Macon, Georgia 31206 or to the donor's favorite charity.
Mr. Morgan was born in Vienna, GA to the late Sarah Forbes Morgan and Uley T. Morgan. He was retired from Robins Air Force Base, where he worked as a machinist. He was a member of First Evangelical Church, where he was past Chairman of the Board. He was also a past member of Bloomfield United Methodist, past Scout Leader and Sunday School teacher. Mr. Morgan also proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in Okinawa. Mr. Morgan was preceded in death by three brothers: Uley, Tom and Frank Morgan.
Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery has charge of arrangements.
