Mr. Small died Friday, July 15, 2011. Born in Loris, he was a son of Margaret Grainger Hake and the late Alex B. Small. He worked for Roy Kelley Auto Sales and enjoyed fishing and NASCAR.
Surviving are his wife, Diane Scott Small; mother, Margaret Hake (Jerry) of Conway; daughter, Paula King (John) of Cassatt; son, David Taylor of Columbia; step-sons, Pete Munn of Murrells Inlet and Dean Skelton of Richmond, Va.; sisters, Beverly Jacobs (Charles) of Conway and Sally Small of Conway; brother, Chris Small of Conway; and grandchildren, James Richard Davis III and Richard Darrell Barnes Jr.; step-grandchildren, Chris Munn and Michael Munn; and his buddy, "Kink". He was predeceased by a brother, Rodney Small, step-son, Johnny A. Munn, and step-grandson, Jason A. Munn.
