Mr. Wrenn was a member of the Helena High School Class of 1954 and attended East Carolina University. Mr. Wrenn worked for Liggett Myers and as the bookkeeper of B & R Garage of Durham.
He was a loyal member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church for over 65 years. Frank had a wonderful love for music which resulted in being choir director for many years at Mt. Zion. He was also an avid Southern gospel music fan which resulted in many precious friends from both the artists of Southern gospel music and other fans that attended.
Mr. Wrenn is survived by his wife of 49 years, Eleanor Mitchell Wrenn; one brother, Jerry Wayne Wrenn of Milton; four sisters, Evelyn Solomon, Lynda Allen, Vickie Summerfield and Alice Whitfield, all of Roxboro and a special son, Jim Mitchell of LaGrange.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, James "Snooks" Wrenn, Bernice Wrenn and Bobby Fields Wrenn.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 2, at Mt. Zion United Methodist Chuch by the Rev. Donald Daniel, the Rev. Danny Allen and Alex Fogleman. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation was held 6:30 to 8 p.m., Tuesday at Mt. Zion United Methodist Chuch and at other times at the home.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Mitchell, Nick Jenkins, Donnie Murray, Brian Murray, Chad Wrenn, and Bill Mathews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Building Fund, c/o Pam Rodgers, 135 Clay Long Rd., Hurdle Mills, NC, 27541.
