Phyllis Ann Hadley Shaw

North Ogden – Phyllis Ann Hadley Shaw, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, peacefully passed away at the age of 63 on July 23, 2012, after a brave battle with Alzheimer's.
She was born on March 30, 1949 in Ogden, Utah to Lloyd and Marian Hadley and raised in North Ogden, Utah. She married Jerald Shaw on June 3, 1971, in the Logan Temple and was blessed with 5 children and 8 grandchildren.
While raising her family, Phyllis spent several years in Cascade, Idaho followed by a decade in both Teasdale and Moab, UT. She loved to paint, scrapbook, and quilt, but her true joy came from traveling and being with her family.
Phyllis was a light to all those with whom she came in to contact and was an example of selfless service to her family and community. She received a B.S in Elementary Education from Brigham Young University and dedicated her life to teaching preschool children. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served willingly.
Her husband Jerald, brothers Stephen and Ron, sister Sharon and her children, Kim, Jason, Melanie, Brian, and Jon survive her. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Kent.
Funeral Services to celebrate and remember Phyllis will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday July 28, 2012 at the North Ogden 12th Ward Chapel, 1791 N 600 E North Ogden, UT with interment immediately following at Ben Lomond Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in kind be made to Team Momma for the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's
A special thanks is extended to the loving time and care by family, friends, Burchcreek Hospice and Myers Mortuaries during Phyllis's final years.
