Leetonia – David V. Tingle, 66, of 384 Honey Lane, died at 4:50 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at his home of cancer with his family at his side.

Dave was born September 28, 1945 in Salem, a son of the late Leslie and Helen Stecker Tingle and had lived in the area all of his life. He had been employed as a crane operator at the former Fordees Corporation retiring in 1994.

He was a member of the Robbins United Methodist Church, Washingtonville and was currently serving as a village councilman in Leetonia.

He is survived by his wife, the former Connie Zimmerman, whom he married February 6, 1971; two daughters, Crystal M. (Tony) Bingham and Amy L. (Jeffrey Seidner) Tingle, both of Leetonia; a brother, James (Lena)Tingle of Leetonia; and two grandchildren, Emily and Luke Bingham.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his step mother, Addie Tingle; a sister, Lois Hill and two brothers, Jack and Sam Tingle.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 21, 2012 at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia, with Pastor Teresa Smolka and the Reverend Cheryl Vanatsky officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday.
