Verna died at Alamance Regional Hospital. She was a native of Guilford County, a member of Grove Park Baptist Church in Burlington. She was also active at College Park Baptist Church and Lindley Park Baptist Church while living in Greensboro. She was a former book keeper for J. Van Lindley Nursery.
She was survived by her daughter, Mrs, Mary G. Cromwell of Elon College; sons, Malcolm N. Godwin Jr. of Beaufort, S.C., Dan Moury of Burlington, sister, Mrs. Sarah Sutton of Greensboro; brother, Ralph Bosher of Virginia Beach, Va.; eight grand children.
