Willie was the son of Jimmie Anderson and Annie Nash. He married Mattie Pearl Quarles, daughter of Osborne Quarles and Hattie Mae Vail, on July 5, 1930 in Jackson Parish, LA. They celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary 2-1/2 years before Willie's death. Children: Wilma Maxine, Verneda "Bess", Joy Jeannette, Shirley Ann, Emma Carolyn and Jimmie Osborn Anderson. At one of the Jeremiah Vail-Mary Bradley Reunions at Mt. Olive Church, Willie turned around in his seat and told me that my mother was the prettiest girl at Mt. Olive (when she was young).
