Amber Nicole Williamson, 15, of South Charleston, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2013.

Amber was a 9th grade honor student at South Charleston High School with a 4.1 grade point average.

She had a tremendous passion for her animals and the small children she cared for, especially Dillon, who held a very special place in her heart. Amber loved music, traveling and planning parties. She also had an extremely close relationship with her Nona.

Amber is survived by her parents, Vince and Julie Williamson; brother, Mike Coleman (Tiffany); niece, Carley Coleman; grandparents, John and Terry Gilbert and Ronald and Niva Williamson; uncles, Lex, Jeff and Kevin Williamson and John Gilbert; aunts, Kelly and Sarah Gilbert; and many cousins and friends.

A service to honor the life of Amber will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 24, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in South Charleston with Father John Finnell officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Memorial Park in South Charleston.

Family and friends may visit from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, January 23, at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Kanawha/Charleston Humane Association Animal Shelter, 1248 Greenbrier St., Charleston, WV 25311.
