∼Michael Hanna of West Chester Michael Hanna, 69, formerly of Springfield, Delaware County, passed away on September 26, 2012 at his home in West Chester. Born in Darby in 1943, Michael was the son of Agnes (nee Sullivan) and Clarence Hanna, both deceased. He served honorably in the U.S. Air Force from 1962 to 1965. Michael was a Union carpenter and homebuilder. He was a volunteer fireman at the Springfield Fire Company and an assistant Scoutmaster with Westtown Troop 66 and a member of the VFW Post 106. He was a devoted family man who enjoyed the outdoors and hunting. He is survived by his beloved wife, Ellen (nee Thompson) Hanna; his children, Edward Hanna (Michele), Donna Settle (Tim), Christopher and Mark Hanna; his grandchildren, Daniel, Ryan and Kathleen "Kate"; and his siblings, Clare Taylor, Mary Battista, William Hanna and Agnes Blisard. He was predeceased by his brothers, Paul and Earl Hanna. Relatives and friends are invited to greet his family 11 a.m. to 12 noon, Monday, October 1, followed immediately by his memorial service at 12 noon at the Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382, 610-431-9000.
