NORTONVILLE, Ky. –– Mayme Rodgers, 68, of Nortonville died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2000, at his residence.
She was born in Christian County on Aug. 18, 1932, to the late Hershel Eugene Carroll and Rittie Irene Carroll.
She was a housewife and a member of Mannington Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Pearl Rodgers; infant twin daughters, Sharon and Karen Rodgers; and one brother, Timothy (Skippy) Carroll.
She is survived by five sons, Donnie Rodgers of Hanson, Ky., Phillip Rodgers, Larry Rodgers, Michael Rodgers, and Mark Rodgers, all of Nortonville; three daughters, Christine Byers, Sandy Mackey, and JoAnne Crick, all of Nortonville; three brothers, Johnny Carroll, Russell Carroll, and Rodney Carroll, all of Mannington, Ky.; three sisters, Wilma Noffsinger of Cadiz, Ky., Wiladean Vaughn of Griffith, Ind., and Lorraine Murdock, of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; 17 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville with the Revs. George Brooks, Alan Hopper, and J. Andy Carpenter officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Todd Mackey, David Mackey, Heath Mackey, Christopher Rodgers, Micah Rodgers, Nathan Rodgers, and Jason Rodgers.
Visitation will be from 5 until 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
