[Stephen Lee was a farmer, all the middle and last of life, he was called Captain. He married, October 1, 1690, Elizabeth Royce, of Wallingford, Conn., daughter of "Isaac and Elizabeth Lathrop, his wife." He died June 7, 1753, aged 87. A red sand-stone, in the old cemetery at "Great Swamp," marks his last resting place. At the time of his death, his name stood at the head of a "Petition to the General Court of Connecticut for a new Society in the part of Kensington, to be called New Britain." The following May it was granted. The wife of Stephen Lee died May 2, 1760, aged 91 years, and was buried in the new cemetery at New Britain.

3. Elizabeth, born July 12, 1694. Married, Nov. 18, 1719, Thomas Root, of Coventry, Conn. He was born July 29, 1692. Died Dec. 1782. She died Nov. 30, 1726, leaving one child: Stephen, born Mar. 2, 1721.
4. Sarah, born Nov. 8, 1696. Married Jan. 18, 1722, John Lankton.
5. Stephen, born Apr. 18, 1700. Killed by the discharge of a gun, Sept. 13, 1718.
6. Martha, born Feb. 17, 1702. Married, first, Noah Hart, of Wallingford, May 1727; second, Joseph Francis.
7. Mary, born Sept. 7, 1704. Baptized Oct. 10, 1709. Married, Aug. 18, 1725, Benjamin Beckley, of "Beckley quarter."
8. Ehenezer, born Sept. 14, 1706. Died Aug. 28, 1725.
9. Hannah, born Oct. 15, 1708. Baptized May 8, 1709. Married, first, Nathaniel North; second, William Barber.
10. Josiah, born Aug. 13, 1710 or 1711; died 1797 in Chenango, NY. Married Nov. 12, 1737, Hannah Warren, b. Oct. 19, 1714.
