KILLED IN ACTION
Pvt. Ceford Campbell, 27, was killed in France on invasion day, June 6, his brother, Edward Campbell of 1501 1/2 Third Av., was informed Sunday by the war department. He had been overseas since September, 1942.

He is survived by his father, Pleze Campbell of Sissonville; six brothers, Staunton and Lowell of Sissonville, Edward, Delmar and Carl of Charleston, Clifford of South Charleston and a sister, Mrs. Grovie Brillhart; two half brothers, Alfred and Ophie Campbell of Fairplain, both in the army.

FUNERAL PLANNED
Funeral services for Pfc. Ceford C. Campbell, 27, of Sissonville, who was killed June 6, 1944 in the invasion of Normandy, has been tentatively set for Saturday afternoon. The body will arrive Tuesday evening in Charleston and will be taken to the Cunningham mortuary.

The body will remain at the Cunningham mortuary until Thursday at 1 p.m. when funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Roy Young at the chapel. Burial will follow in the Legg cemetery on Tuppers creek.

Pfc. Campbell served with the 118th medical department of the 29th division. He is survived by his father, George P. of Sissonville, six brothers, Staunton, Clifford, Lowell and Carl all of Sissonville, Delmar of Dunbar and Edward of North Charleston; a sister, Mrs. Grovie Brillhart of South Charleston and two half-brothers, Ophie and Alfred of Ripley.
