Born in Kingston, NH, on December 23, 1938, he was the son of the late Morton and Helen (Page) Robie. He was raised and educated in Kingston, NH and graduated from Sanborn Regional High School.
Mr. Robie worked as a machine operator at Raytheon Corporation in Andover, MA and retired with over 35 years of service.
He had a passion for the outdoors and loved hunting, fishing, log cutting, and wood working. He will be remembered by his friends and family for canning his mother's favorite recipes, especially her relish and jams. He loved to read a good book and enjoyed his wife's homemade Italian meals.
Mr. Robie is survived by his spouse of thirty years, Donna M. Lucchesi; a daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Michael Bickham of Endicott, NY; a step-son, William I. Lucchesi of Boston, MA; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Lauren and Cecile Robie, Forest Robie, and his sister, Carolyn Robie, all of Kingston, NH; four grandchildren, Christopher Shoemaker, Cassidy Bickham, Alissa Bickham, and Anthony Bickham. Several nieces and nephews also survive him. Mr. Robie was predeceased by his brothers, Wesley Robie and Bernard Robie and his sister, Madeline Evans.
Relatives and friends may call on Monday, January 7, 2013, from 3 to 7 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, (Plaistow Village) 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery in Kingston, NH.
