Joseph Hedrick died in Howard County, Missouri, intestate. Appointed to Administer the estate was his son Jacob Hedrick (being the eldest son) and wife Sally Hedrick. They were bonded for $3000 and this bond was dated 14 September 1825, Judges Probate Proceedings Book 2 pgs 22-24, February Term 1828. The Estate Settlement of Joseph Hedrick is page 23.

Joseph also served in Capt. John Evans Company, Kentucky Detached Militia, commanded by Lt. Col. Gabriel Slaughter, during the War of 1812

At the time of his death, Joseph was living near Lisbon in Boonslick Township.
