Headline: EFFIE F. COX BIG CREEK _ MRS. EFFIE FORREN COX, 79, OF BIG CREEK died Wednesday, Sept. 21, 1994, in CAMC, Memorial Division, after a short illness.
She was born in Warford and was a lifelong resident of Summers County. She was a homemaker and a charter member of Big Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving: sons, Chester Cochran of Augusta, Iowa, James A. Cochran of Big Creek; daughter, Kay Talbott of Talcott; sister, Cleo Young of Norfolk, Va.; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Big Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Robert Meadows and Pastor Dana Stalnaker officiating. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery, Powleys Creek.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Ronald Meadows
Funeral Home, Hinton, and one hour prior to service at the church.
