Emma Jo (Hruza) Carney, 81, of Minneapolis and formerly of Faribault, died Monday, March 30 in Minneapolis. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Bridget's Catholic Church, 38th and Emerson Ave. N., Minneapolis. Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. at the church. Private interment will be in Crystal Lake Cemetery. She was born in Frank and Mary Novotny Hruza on April 29, 1905 in the Little Chicago area. She is survived by two sons, James and Robert; two grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Willing of Faribault and Agnes Wagner of Farmington; and a brother, John Hruza of Faribault. She was preceded in death by her husband, Merlyn; and by three brothers, Charles Hruza of Moorhead and Francis and Joseph Hruza of Faribault.
