She attended Lawrence Park School and graduated from East High School in 1929. She spent her early years working at General Electric. She was a volunteer Driver for the Red Cross, a volunteer at Twinbrook Nursing Home for almost 30 years where she was honored as Pennsylvania State Volunteer of the Year in 1985. She was an active member in the Lawrence Park United Methodist Church. She was a long time member and past president of the Lawrence Park Historical Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, William E. Curtis in 1984.
She is survived by three sons Charles W. Curtis of Lawrence Park, William D. Curtis of Lake Wales, Fla., John H. Curtis and his wife Louada of North Richland Hills, Texas, a daughter Linda Culbertson and her husband Dick of Erie, eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
