BERENDES, Kristina Felix Of Gold River, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, and friend, was taken from us as a result of a tragic accident that occurred on April 3, 2006, near her home where she lived with her husband, Todd Berendes, and 2 year old daughter, Taylor.

Tina was a radiant light for those around her. She exuded warmth and love to all those that she touched. She was known for her constant beautiful smile and her positive outlook on everything going on around her. She always let her family and friends know how important they were to her and that she loved and appreciated them. She possessed a luminous energy and an uplifting and loving spirit that brightened your day and will continue to impact and touch the lives of all those who knew her. Tina always had a warm hug and kind words for everyone she encountered.

Kristina was born in Santa Monica, CA on November 28, 1966. She moved to Sacramento in 1979 with her parents Bill and Yvonne Felix and attended Bella Vista High School, from which she graduated in 1984. She then attended San Diego State University and received her degree from Sacramento State.

Tina met the love of her life, Todd, in the summer of 1994. They were married on September 5, 1999, and had a beautiful daughter, Taylor, who was her pride and joy. Tina constantly stated how lucky she was to have such a beautiful family and cherished her family and friends. In addition to being a loving wife, mother and friend, Tina was a very successful insurance agent and ran her own insurance agency through Farmers Insurance.

Tina will forever live in the memory of and is survived by her husband, Todd; her daughter, Taylor; her parents, Bill and Yvonne Felix; her sister, Tammy Donaldson; grandparents, Barbara and Herbert Donaldson, Jerry Berendes, and her aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.

A public viewing will be held at Mt. Vernon Mortuary at 8201 Greenback Lane on April 10, 2006, between 4:00 and 8:00pm. A memorial service will be held at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament at 10:00am on April 11, 2006, at 1017 11th Street in Sacramento. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a fund for her daughter, Taylor Berendes, in the name of Taylor Berendes at 332 Dowsby Court, Roseville, California 95661.

Tina, you are an angel that God wanted close to Him. We love you and know that you will always be with us to love us and guide our way.
