Herman Wooten, age 65 and a resident of Gulfport died Thursday, December 18, 2003 in Gulfport, MS.

Mr. Wooten was a native of Yazoo City, MS and a 33 year resident of the MS Gulf Coast. He was the owner of C & H Air Conditioning and Heating. He was a member of the First Pentecostal Church of Orange Grove.

Mr. Wooten is preceded in death by his father, Herman Wooten, Sr.; his sister, Janet Poe and a half-brother, James Pigg. He is survived by his loving wife, Janet Wooten of Gulfport, MS; his mother, Christine Wooten of Gulfport, MS; two sons, Scott Wooten, Bruce Wooten both of Gulfport, MS; three brothers, Jessie Pigg of Latimer, MS; Billy Wooten of Greenville, TX; Chester Wooten of High Point, NC; three sisters, Alma Smith of Sacramento, CA; Stella York of Asheboro, NC; Debra Wilson of Gulfport, MS; two grandchildren, Michael Wooten and Candace Wooten both of Gulfport, MS.

Funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, December 21, 2003 at the First Pentecostal Church of Orange Grove where friends may visit an hour and a half prior to services. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum in Gulfport. Riemann Memorial Funeral Home, Hwy 49 North, Gulfport is in charge of arrangements.
