Edwin Bowers, 58, of 25 East Maple Street, Funkstown, died at his home Saturday morning.
He was born in Beaver Creek, the son of the late Howard Bowers and Eva Hoffman Betts, of Funkstown. He was formerly a painter for Hubert R. South.
Surviving besides his mother is a brother, Mearl J. Bowers, Funkstown, and two nieces.
Graveside services will be held in Funkstown Cemetery, at 2 p.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. Donald R. Brake officiating.
Arrangements are with Minnich Funeral Home.
