George "Bubby" Anderson, 74, formerly of Sparta died Sunday. He was born Dec.10, 1926 and was a member of the Sparta Baptist Church.
He was in the Army for four years and re-enlisted in the Marines for four years.
He is survived by a son, Danny Anderson of Indiana; a sister Rosemary (Bobby) Estes of Owenton, four nieces and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Williard "Jack" and "Pearly" Anderson and his younger brother, Billy Anderson.
The funeral was held today at 2 p.m. at the Shannon Funeral Home in Shelbyville with graveside services following.
