Glen G. Couchie
SALEM - Glen G. Couchie, 83, of 720 Adams, died at 5:36pm Sunday at home of cancer.
Born May 5, 1917 in Columbiana to Charles C. and Stella V. (Tyson) Couchie, he lived in the area all of his life.
He was employed at Clarke Pulley as a machinist for 12 years, and previously was a self-employed contractor, retiring in 1982.
An avid golfer and bowler, he served in the Army Air Force during World War II.
Survivors include his wife if 61 years, the former Bela S. Sidinger; a son, Todd G. Couchie of Salem; a daughter, Nancy E. Hampton of Geneva, IL.; a sister Ruth Cleckner of Columbiana; a brother Wilbur E. Couchie of Alliance; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday at 11am at Stark Memorial with chaplain Vicki Yoder officiating. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery in Salem.
