Musician, composer and rhythm&blues pianist. Known and regarded as one of the best American musicians of the post World War II. During his career, lasting over 70 years, he wrote almost a thousand songs and recorded a hundred of these, including "My Rockin 'Soul United," "Every Night, Every Day Imperial", "Let's Get Together Mint" and "All His Bluesblasters Ace". Jimmy McCracklin received prestigious awards, including a "Pioneer Award by the Rhythm and Blues Foundation", the "Living Legend and Hall of Fame Award" and has also won four Gold Records. He died after a long struggle against diabetes.
