Daisy Pitts Propst, widow of Harold C. Propst, died Sunday, January 14, 2007, at the Presbyterian Home of SC. She was a resident of the Presbyterian Home of SC in Summerville and a former resident of Charlotte, NC; Columbia, SC and Stone Mountain, GA. Born 1911 in Sumter, SC, she was the daughter of Mary Yeadon and Peter Mellette Pitts. She was a graduate of Sumter High School and Winthrop College. She was a member of Summerville Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon, January 21, 2007, at the Presbyterian Home Chapel. Graveside services will be held Monday morning, January 22, 2007, at 11 o'clock in Sumter City Cemetery in Sumter, SC. Memorials may be made to the Presbyterian Home of SC, 201 W. 9th St., Summerville, SC, 29483 or to the Summerville Presbyterian Church, 407 N. Laurel St., Summerville, SC 29483.
